Supporting Educator Wellbeing
Educators are at the heart of inclusive preschools. It is crucial to support their wellbeing and opportunity to thrive in a role that is both fulfilling and demanding.
While an educator’s role requires you to provide a safe and secure environment for children, it is vitally important to look after your own wellbeing. Educator mental health is closely tied to the wellbeing of the entire learning community. When educators feel supported, they are better equipped to create environments where children can play and learn with their peers.
Practicing self-care strategies can help reduce stress and puts you in a better position to support the wellbeing of others.
Be You has a collection of resources that can help educators and learning community leaders plan for wellbeing. The collection includes:
- Be You educator wellbeing guide
- Educator wellbeing fact sheets
- Educator wellbeing planning tools
- Educator wellbeing stories
- Educator wellbeing event recordings
- Educator wellbeing videos
