Focussing on the importance of critical thinking and questioning the impact of practise on children and families, using an inclusive lens.

This 2-part webinar series will focus on the importance of critical reflection and building educators confidence to think more deeply about their work and to question the impact of their practices on the lives of children and families. We will bring an inclusive lens to the webinars to provoke educators to critically reflect on their practice to support inclusion of children of all abilities.

Part 1 – Introduction to critical reflection
This introductory webinar focuses on why critical reflection is important and the skills needed to authentically engage in the process.

Part 2 – Processes and strategies for critical reflection
The second webinar introduces participants to processes for critical reflection that help educators have the courage and confidence to question their practices.

About our speakers

Marg has over 25 years’ experience working in the early childhood field in a variety of roles, including as a Teacher, Director, Practice Manager and Training and Quality Coordinator across Long Day Care, Preschool and Family Day Care Services. Marg is a passionate advocate for children’s rights and the right of all children to participatein high quality education and care services.

Jan has more than 35 years’ experience in the early childhood sector as a teacher, centre director, manager of children’s services and as a professional learning consultant. She has also worked with several service types including long day care, preschool, outside school hours care and family day care.
