Presenter: Sabira Sukurma

Sabira Sukurma is the Manager of the KU Children’s Services Adult Migrant English Program and Community Programs. Sabira’s diverse experience includes working as a primary school teacher overseas and in Australia as an educator, centre director and Manager. Sabira has presented at workshops, conferences, and community events about the importance of cultural competence, bilingualism, working with CALD families, and working with refugee families.

Sabira’s passion is leadership in culturally diverse early childhood environments, inclusion and children’s rights. Working for over 30 years with educators from over 15 countries and migrant and refugee families from Europe, Africa, Asia and India position Sabira well to share her knowledge and experiences with educators.
